Message to the Church

Picture
It is about 2000 years now since Jesus Christ commanded the Church to go and make disciples of all nations. The purpose of the commission is to bring lost humanity back to God, and have a relationship with Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 3:9). Man has sinned against a holy God and has fallen short of His glory (Rom. 3:23). Praise God that even when we were yet sinners Jesus Christ died for us (Rom. 5:6,8). The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Paul wrote, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 6:23). Jesus Christ desires that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:4). For this reason, He charged the Church to go and make disciples of all the nations (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 10: 14-17).

The Church (the body of Christ) has failed to make disciples of all nations; it is only pursuing its man-made agenda. There is both adultery and idolatry in the Church. The Church has not worshipped God; she has submitted to the doctrines of men instead of obeying the commandments of God.

The way forward

The Church must rise from her spiritual slumber and return to the Bible. This is the only way to fulfill the Great Commission. The Church must begin with the four basic principles of the Great Commission according to Acts 2:38-47.

  1. Call unbelievers to repentance and faith toward God.
  2. All new converts must be water baptized.
  3. All new converts must receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speak in tongues.
  4. All new converts must continue in the apostles' doctrine (Acts 2:42-47; Heb. 6:1-2), and all that Jesus Christ has commanded.
